A little bit about me, Betsy Jones.  I live in Brenham, Texas at the Wichita Ranch. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and spent a lot of time going to the ranches on the weekend with my parents.

One of the ranches was in Giddings, Texas and the other is in San Ygnacio, Texas still. The one in San Ygnacio, Texas is the "Los Corralitos Ranch" on the Rio Grande River. We even had a house on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas in a little place called Cotton Bay . Time was also spent going to my cousins ranches in Texas and Colorado.

So you see, I was raised amongst a lot of different decor.  Decor that was bought and inherited. Decor from every part of the world. My grandparents, John and Mary Elizabeth Mecom had exquisite taste. They bought decor in every country they went to and shipped it back to the US in triplets. They had 3 children so one for each," LOL". My mother, Lannie Mecom has given a lot of the furniture and decor to my sister and I.

I have learned to throw it all together. The Mexican , French, Italian, Indian, Spanish and of coarse the Western Art/American Indian that I love so much. So don’t be afraid to add what you love in with the rest. Add It, Accept It, Go with it!

Colors Colors Colors, add the purple with the pink and the black with everything.  Add the antlers with the china and silver and the western art in the formal dining room.  Put the pastel Navajo colors at the beach with a splash of spirit, your spirit.
